Gynecology and Well-Woman Care

Certified Nurse Midwives don’t just attend births; we offer well-woman care to women from the teen years through and including menopause and beyond. We provide gynecology services, such as annual exams, pap smears and breast and pelvic exams, and address female health issues. General gynecology services also include breast health, preconception, general wellness counseling, and natural family planning. Labwork, mammograms or other imaging is also ordered as needed.

Prescriptions

Certified nurse-midwives can prescribe most medications and antibiotics to address minor female health problems. They also manage the full range of contraceptive options, such as pills, IUD's, diaphragms, and natural family planning.

Perimenopausal & Postmenopausal Consultation

Annual examinations include a complete health history and physical exam, with added focus and counseling on the symptoms that may develop during this transition time. Hormone replacement therapy or natural management options are available.
