MEET THE MIDWIVES

Margie Brandquist, CNM

Margie has been a practicing midwife since 1997. She received her bachelors degree in nursing from The University of Phoenix, and completed her Masters in Nursing and Midwifery at UCLA. She loves working with women throughout their lifespan, and holds a special interest in adolescents.

Wendy Dotson, CNM

Wendy has had experience with midwifery and nursing in birth centers, homes and hospital settings since 1981. She earned a BSN from George Mason University, and a Masters in Nursing from State University of New York-Stony Brook. She has been a contributing writer in national midwifery publications and nursing texts. Her other special interests include teaching, legislation, natural remedies, and homeopathy.

Paula Senner, CNM

Paula obtained her BSN from the University of Connecticut, and has enjoyed working with pregnant and laboring women for more than a decade. She completed a Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, and completed her Masters in Midwifery at Philadelphia University. Her special interests include caring for women of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds, with a special focus on the childbearing years.

Anne Cockerham, CNM

Anne earned her BSN from the University of Virginia and has devoted her entire professional life to caring for women and childbearing families. She earned a certificate in nurse-midwifery from the Frontier School of Nurse-Midwifery and Family Nursing and her MSN from Case Western Reserve University. She has special interests in complementary and alternative therapies, patient teaching and well-woman care for women of all ages. Anne teaches maternal-child nursing at Shenandoah University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing at U.Va.

Kim Guastella, CNM

Kim has been involved in caring for childbearing families since 1987. She obtained her certificate to practice nurse-midwifery in 1994, and received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Case Western Reserve University. She enjoys all aspects of caring for women throughout their lifespan, with a special interest in adolescent care and education.
